February 24 – Generation To Generation – Plan For Your Future Starting Now Summary

Sabrina Fitzgerald, a partner with PwC spoke at our February 24th luncheon on the topic of “Generation to Generation – Plan for Your Future Now”

Sabrina outlined some of the issues that family businesses are facing today and shared how the 3 Circle Method can assist to address them. Certainly, communication in the appropriate manner is the key.

In addition, Sabrina discussed the issues that get in the way of good family governance and what can be put in place to assist.  These might include:

• putting a family council in place
• developing and putting in writing what your family values are
• preparing a mission and a vision statement

This was an excellent presentation reminding our members that it is never to early to start preparations for transition/succession.
