Our Story: Our humble beginnings started February 27, 1992. Terry Aivaliotis, our founder of All-Brite Glass, worked as an auto glass technician with a very large glass company. He saw a vision of focusing on the real customer, the owner of the vehicle, not the insurance company and also envisioned better convenience for the customer with a business model providing mobile service at their door.

At the young age of 19 years old, Terry enrolled in a business course, graduated with honors and  developed a business plan and was awarded with a $7500.00 youth venture loan. One year later All-Brite Glass was born with a truck, a cell phone and a tool box. The rest is history!

What We Do Today: All-Brite Glass & Tint is a premier provider of Auto, Commercial & Residential Glass & Tint. All-Brite’s retail location at 31 Manitou Drive in Kitchener, provides in-shop insurance & consumer retail auto glass, rust proofing and auto tinting services.

Our 24hr on-site auto, commercial & residential glass & tint services cover from Milton to Woodstock. All-Brite services the transport truck, heavy equipment, mining , car/truck fleet, RV, car dealership, garage, body shop, commercial, residential, government property, school board, chain store, and home owner industries.

Our 24hr emergency mobile service installs insulated glass units, fabricated custom glass, and solar controlled/security film. We Manufacture insulated glass units with faster turnaround times then all of our competitors.

Our Community: Our company has been supported by the people of our community therefore we believe that it is our responsibility to give back. We are a regular contributor to our community, serving both past and current with Family & Children’s Service of Waterloo Region (All-Brite Chip in for Kids) and Extend-A-Family of Waterloo Region.(Free Chip Repair campaigns)

Our Family Culture: All-Brite Glass is a local family owned & operated business. Terry & Lydia, son Jordan Aivaliotis, & daughter Natasha Aivaliotis, along with their extended family of employees, enjoy hanging out with each other and we regularly devote time away from work together.

    Our Story:

Altruck International Truck Centres – it’s a family thing.

Altruck International Truck Centres was built on the idea that there had to be a better way to serve our customers. Jack Kirby dreamed of being a special service provider for his customers and assisting them, one customer at a time.

After working with International® Harvester for 21 years Jack purchased the dealership in Kitchener in 1977 and became part of the growing International® Dealer group. Since then, we have been trying to make the buying process as easy and simple as possible. Today, we are focused on serving you the same way – one business partner (customer) at a time.

Our business is built on a strong foundation: INTEGRITY.

Integrity in the way we treat you and each other. And integrity in the way we buy and sell trucks, parts and services.

Whether we are buying your equipment or selling one of our trucks, we do not pressure you.

You are more than a “customer” to us– You are a PARTNER and we are committed to your success! Why? Because we know that your success is what makes us successful.

We offer great products at reasonable prices. At Altruck International Truck Centres, we are always looking for new ways to help you improve your ROI and uptime and to enhance your competitive advantage.

    Our Story:

Lance and Kim first met as apprentices at Mohawk College in Hamilton during their early 20’s.

After working in various industry-leading salons, Lance and Kim prepared to take the biggest leap of their careers. Together, they opened their first salon–a 600 sq ft space in downtown Kitchener brimming with possibility.

Before they knew it, 5 years had passed and their business had outgrown their humble beginnings. They made the move to Uptown Waterloo and spent another 15 years growing and creating.

Their hard work and endless dedication to their business brought them an incredible opportunity as The Boardwalk in Waterloo underwent retail development.

Today, Element Hair is the winner of numerous awards and is well-known for its commitment to elevating the industry to the utmost capacity.

As of May 25th 2019, Lance and Kim are elated to have been in business together for 25 years, and ensure the community can look forward to many more years of game-changing innovation.

Mark Erb retired in 2019.  With the contributions to the business of both the Erb & Good families over the years, Managing funeral director and owner, Rob Wintonyk and the wonderful team of employees at Erb & Good, realize the importance in succeeding the business with the same name many families in our community have come to know and trust “putting the families we serve first, in everything we do.”

“We are proud to be Kitchener-Waterloo’s longest serving independently and family-owned funeral home (since 1946) in a profession where many of the funeral homes are owned by large corporations. We trust that people value we have remained independently owned and we have a strong commitment to bettering the community in which we work and live.  Our caring staff, independent ownership, personal guidance, facilities and reasonable prices have become the hallmark of our service.”

    Our Story:

The Heffner automotive story began in 1960 when Mr. John Heffner Sr. opened shop on a small repair garage on Breithaupt Street in Kitchener. By 1962, the business moved to King Street East, across from RockwayGardens, where it was located for 25 years.

In 1987 John Heffner and his sons, Willy Heffner and John Heffner Jr., moved to their current, location. Heffner Toyota changed its name in 1990 to Heffner Lexus Toyota, welcoming the addition of Toyota’s new line of luxury automobiles, the Lexus.

The Heffners have taken steps to provide outstanding customer care, are committed to giving back to the community, and offer rewards and recognition to their employees that aren’t often seen in other dealerships.

Heffner Lexus/Heffner Toyota has grown substantially since 2004, in large part due to the needs of our immediate community – Kitchener, Waterloo, Cambridge and Guelph – our guests and staff. In October 2004 we opened a 12,500 square foot used vehicle showroom, in September 2005 we moved into our 65,000 square foot Toyota dealership and in July of 2006 we moved the Lexus dealership to their 24,000 square foot building.

We have grown from 42,000 sq ft to approximately 132,000 sq ft. and are now working out of five different buildings spread over 16 acres of land.  The new Collision Centre opened its doors on November 5, 2011 to serve your needs.

    Our Story:

Lewis Straus Construction Ltd. was established in 1985. We began in Kitchener, Ontario as an excavation contractor, specializing in swimming pool excavations, commercial excavating, and snow removal, and have expanded our services over the last 35 years into concrete forming and finishing, architectural walls, and more services to meet our customers’ needs.

As the region grew in population, space between new homes became tighter, and access to the back yards became more difficult. As an innovative company, we developed the use of conveyor technology to move the dirt from the pool excavation to the road. This idea evolved from the necessity of tight work areas, to a cleaner, safer way of moving large amounts of fill.

Our pool clientele and the homeowners started requesting the conveyors to minimize damage to their and neighbouring properties and allowed our business to expand across Ontario. Our concrete division has also grown from small commercial and residential projects in Waterloo Region to a variety of commercial civil projects, both small and large, across all of Ontario.

The company now successfully completes annual construction volumes of over $200 million with a salaried staff approaching 200. Many of their projects have become trademarks of Waterloo Region, serving as warm beacons of welcome for visitors and residents alike, including the ATS Corporate Campus; numerous buildings at University of Waterloo, Wilfrid Laurier University, and Conestoga College; and the Kidsability Centre for Child Development. Other featured area projects include the Home Hardware complex in St. Jacobs; Brick Brewing Company; Bingemans; Coldwell Banker Peter Benninger Realty; Huron Heights Secondary School; B-K Motors; and various Research in Motion facilities. The social services sector has also seen beautiful new facilities for Anslema House, Family and Children’s Services along with Langs Farm in Cambridge. This incredible success story first took root in 1982, when Bernie Melloul and David Blamey, classmates from Conestoga College, started living their dream with a humble office on Borden Avenue in Kitchener.

In the beginning, projects were primarily acquired through fixed price bidding of public and private work. Fast forward 29 years to the present, and Melloul-Blamey has expanded to construct over 500 institutional, recreational, commercial and industrial projects across the entire province, becoming a Billion Dollar Builder in completed projects. Diversification played an integral role in this success, with David Blamey and a team of Canadians setting up an American branch in Greenville, South Carolina in 2000.

As the company looks to the future, a succession plan has been implemented under the stewardship of Jeff Shantz, Vice President, Project Development; Joel Melloul, Vice-President, Estimating; Steve Hanley, Vice-President Construction Management; Jeff Heimpel, Vice-President, Business Development, thereby ensuring the future legacy of the company for another generation. Bernie Melloul has stated more than once “Our goals would never have been realized if it were not for the creative, innovative people in this company who dared to share the dream and channel a distinct vision along with us. Melloul-Blamey is very proud to be a conduit that strengthens the business and service sector of our community, and extremely grateful for the trust that has been placed in us.”

    Our Story:

Melloul-Blamey Construction, one of the region’s largest and most diversified construction firms, has been in business for over 30 years.  “Melloul-Blamey was founded on the principles of honesty, integrity, and pride of workmanship, and these principles form the cornerstone of every successful project we complete to this day,” says co-founder Bernie Melloul.

As a full service general contracting firm, Melloul-Blamey Construction strives to offer clients dependable, superior quality workmanship, on time and on budget. The company has become innovators in their field by building a skilled and dedicated staff, embracing technology, maintaining an impeccable safety record, concentrating on quality, and ensuring total client satisfaction.

Since incorporation in January 2000, Minotaur has become the leading specialist in the inspection and service of Stormceptor units. Garnet Shaver, President of Minotaur, was also President of Cecil Shaver Ltd. a municipal contracting company that specialized in sewers, watermains, & site remediation, for 46 years. The company installed all types of oil/grit interceptors on job sites since product development and thus has a technical edge when it comes to maintenance and repairs for all units.

Our Story: Established in 1946 as the Edward R. Good Funeral Home, the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home was succeeded by Rob Wintonyk and Mark Erb in 2009 who purchased the business from Jim Erb (founding member of CFFB) and David Erb.

    Owner and managing funeral director,
    Rob Wintonyk

Our Story: Year after year, more people discover that eggs and meat they have raised themselves are tastier and healthier than most of the mass-produced products available in supermarkets. And year after year since 1946, Frey’s Hatchery has been supplying small family farmers and hobby flock owners with chicks of the highest quality. In order to ensure consistent quality and a good variety we maintain our own breeding flocks on family farms.
